Amino acids

Compound specific isotope analysis

δ13CAA

δ15NAA

Compound specific isotope analysis of amino acids (δ13CAA or δ15NAA) is routinely performed at UCSC SiL via GC-C-iRMS analysis. Analysis services including sample derivitization may be available on a case by case basis. Please contact UCSC SiL to determine project feasibility and project cost.

In 2018 a National Science Foundation Major Research Initiative in cooperation with funding from the UCSC Office of Research, the UCSC Division of Physical and Biological Sciences, the UCSC Division of Social Sciences, funded the acquisition of new instrumentation to greatly expand UCSC SiL capabilites for compound specific isotope analysis of amino acids and other compounds.
